Providing Our Youth With Skills to find employment.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – Launchpad is excited to announce that 3 Rivers Workforce Investment Board, the innovative provider of workforce development services for Pittsburgh and Allegheny County has selected Launchpad as it’s Case Management system for Youth Services.
In 2015, the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County and 3RWIB partnered to deliver a first-of-its kind summer youth employment experience for youth. This six-week, paid summer youth employment program served about 1,900 youth and added more than $1.2 million in wages to the local economy.
While the Learn and Earn program was successful, the 3 Rivers team still identified key areas that needed improvement in order to strengthen the program. These key metrics included
- Developing an electronic registry of youth applicants and employers
- Developing a system that would help identify career interests of youth applicants and match them with corresponding employers and opportunities.
- Create a system of engagement for partners, youth applicants and employers.
3 Rivers selected Launchpad and its Solution because of its ability to not only deliver youth services, but its flexibility to expand and aid with managing other types of programs as well. The 3 Rivers team is also excited to gain access to the salesforce platform, as this will give them the ability to further customize and expand the platform to assist with managing other programs as well. “Empowering our youth is an important cornerstone for our future, and we are honored to be able to help 3 Rivers do just that”
-Abraham Jankans, CEO of Launchpad.
